We stayed at Alva Beach Caravan Park and that was fantastic, but what we really were impressed with was the friendliness of EVERYONE that we spoke to, every shop, petrol station, bank, car dealership we went to the staff were so pleasant. We even had someone in the street ask us for directions and we couldn't help them so a local came up and helped the person. Congratulations to the township of Ayr as we have not enough words to say on how friendly the town is... keep up the good work as we are going to let everyone know. Also a big thankyou goes out to the lovely lady at the Tourist Information Centre, I was told that she is the town icon, well she deserves that title as she went far and beyond in helping me pick locations to go to while we were in the area. Thankyou.
