Well worth a visit. Take time to wander around and have a good look at the displays. So many bugs, insects and beautiful butterflies not to mention shells and crustaceans of many kinds. The caretaker was very friendly.
I've not seen anything quite like this before. So much time and work has been put into this collection. It is displayed in a unique and unusual way - beautiful but a little sad for all the butterflies....

Amazing display of Australian butterflies, beatles, crustaceans and much more. Must see when in Ayr. A credit to one mans devotion to his interests, now managed by his family.
Beautiful little place. Can definitely see how much time and heart had gone into the exhibits. The person working was very friendly and happy to answer any questions we had. Definitely suggest visiting.
